Cold Chain Medication Handling

Some medications, such as GLP-1 weight loss treatments (e.g., Mounjaro), are temperature-sensitive and must be kept cold to remain effective. These are shipped using specialized "Cold Chain" logistics.

Upon Arrival You should open your package immediately after delivery. Your medication will be packed in an insulated container with medical-grade gel packs. Do not be alarmed if the gel packs are no longer frozen; as long as the interior of the package feels cool to the touch, the medication is safe to use.

Proper Storage Place your medication in the center of your refrigerator as soon as possible. Avoid storing it in the door or at the very back of the fridge, as these areas are prone to temperature fluctuations or accidental freezing.

Important Warnings

  • Do Not Freeze: If the medication freezes, the molecular structure is destroyed and it is no longer safe to use. If you notice ice crystals in the vial or pen, do not use it and contact us immediately.

  • Light Sensitivity: Keep the medication in its original packaging or box to protect it from light exposure.

  • Travel: If you are traveling, use a small insulated travel bag with a cool pack. Most cold-chain medications can stay at room temperature for a short period (usually up to 21 or 30 days depending on the brand), but you should always check the specific insert for your prescription.
